19th - 21st March 2021

Celebrate the great work done by the Rotarians of District 9675, and share in the fun

Ensure you book your conference tickets now on the D9675 website  https://rotarydistrict9675.org/

One of our speakers is Dr Muecke, Australian of the Year for 2020.  Dr Muecke has a remarkable life and faced huge challenges which he has turned into opportunities to enrich both his own life and, more importantly, the lives of others.  We will all learn great life lessons from him.

Also speaking is Cam Calkoen, athletic gold medalist, charitable fundraiser, social entrepreneur, inspirational speaker and 2 x recipient of a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.  Marvel at the the power of humanity, connection and dreams that has contributed to Cam achieving all this whilst living with Cerebral Palsy.

Third key note speaker is Samah Shda, an Assyrian refugee who experienced the aftermath of the 2003 and subsequent US military intervention.  As a student Samah won a scholarship to study in the United States where she was awarded a Bachelor of Political Science from Grinnell College.  Returning to Iraq she lead fundraising initiatives to assist refugees but was forced to seek asylum in Turkey when threats from extremist groups escalated in her home village.  After 3 years in Turkey her family was granted a refugee humanitarian visa to resettle in Australia in 2019.
